A notebook for marathon preparation
A place for the preparation, including the weeks that do not make a neat story.

I want to make room here for my marathon preparation. It belongs on a personal website just as much as the software projects do.
The useful starting point is a notebook. A short record of what happened, what seemed difficult, and what I want to pay attention to next. I don’t need every entry to explain a training method or turn a run into a lesson.
Some entries could be very small. What did I expect from the week? What actually fitted around the rest of life? Was there something about a particular run that I would otherwise forget? That feels like enough material for a note.
I would like to keep the ordinary weeks in the story too. A preparation diary made entirely of milestones would leave out much of the preparation. The gaps between those moments are part of what I want to remember.
There is room for the less measurable details: a route, the weather, something I listened to, or the point where an outing started to feel different from what I expected. Numbers can provide context without having to carry the whole account.
For now, I am leaving the race details and training history out of this introduction. Those belong in later notes when there is something specific to record.
I want these pieces to be short enough to write without making the diary another demanding project. A few paragraphs after a week or an interesting session would do. Over time, they could become a record of how the preparation actually unfolded.
